I interpret it that way too - Interscope is a part of the Universal Music Group, so this isn't about changing record label but strictly about publishing and distribution.

so could this mean he'll be making more songs, cuz i dont see why else he'd be doing this if he's retiring...

and no, em hasn't said anything about making an album just cuz others have it dont mean shit.

But yeah Interscope / Aftermath are a subsidery of Universal I believe so it's just prob to handle his growing number of artists.
