I think some people are trying to hide it to keep a surprise, while the others are talking about it to build anticipation.

They used this technique for the movie "Cloverleaf", we seen the trailers, but people at Paramount (or whichever company is distributing it) said the movie didn't exist. It makes people speculate which builds more anticipation.
