Time lists Marshall Mathers LP in Top 100

Postby TRshady » Nov 14th, '06, 18:30

Time wrote:Time magazine music critics have come up with a list of the 100 greatest and most influential albums of all time.

The Beatles have five albums on the list, more than any other group: "Sergeant Pepper," "Abbey Road," "The White Album," "Revolver" and "Rubber Soul." The albums are in no particular order.

Bob Dylan leads all male artists with three. Aretha Franklin leads the women with two.

Elvis is in there. So is Eminem, Kanye West, Radiohead, The Stones, Michael Jackson, even The Plastic Ono Band.

But no Pink Floyd. Not even their classic "Dark Side of the Moon," one of the best-selling albums ever.

The list can be seen here: http://www.time.com/time/2006/100albums/

"There are two horrible songs: Drips, a duet with D12's Obie Trice"

I Love "Drips". I wouldnt get close to constituting it as horrible.

yeah haha cuz obie is hella from D12 right..nope!

ALL EYEZ ON ME should be on the fucking list for the 1990's...thats horseshit...i mean EVERY fucking song on that cd is a god damn hit. ready 2 die from biggie over that? bs...bunch of old ignorant idiots that dont know shit making these lists....then again i grew up somewhere else than they did and my point of view is different but you cant find one sane person who would call All Eyez On Me even an "average" album.

I think this is only right!...He has been and still is very present in my opinion. When I need to hear some great beats and some angry, crazy lyrics I just have to put on Eminem...This will probably not change for a long time.

Strange about 'Dark Side of the Moon' not even being mentioned...
