PSP, PSVita, and N3DES

This topic is on portable consoles. I was wondering what the point of having these was if you already have the big consoles. It just seems like you'll spend nearly twice the money. I mean sure they could be fun if you're traveling, but are you really traveling that much? How much do people actually use these portables? That's why I made a thread discussing Geneses vs Game Gear. I'm just trying to figure out what others are missing that don't play or buy the portable consoles. I do feel like an idiot, as I'm getting back into gaming after like 9 years.

this, my 3ds gets used daily. be it retro virtual console games or dkc and pkmn x

but i still turn to my psp for gta and god of war. vita never appealed to me even while owning a ps4
