true im just assembling my master team. im in no rush for the elite 4. i'll go in when my mons are around the 90s to swift through it and wait for pokemon bank to transfer all my oldies to breed and beef up for online

I've always wanted to do competitive battling but it's just way too tedious for me.

Are you allowed to keep your original file if you want to start over? Like have two different saves. I really would like to save a profile for each starter Pokemon so I can try them all out but don't wanna lose the original lol.

nope. one save file. you have a couple options though, either trade the pokemon you really want to keep to a friend then restart and get them back from the friend, or, wait until January when the Poke bank comes out which is like a Cloud drive for Pokemon where you upload them to the server and can transfer them back to your game.

one month trial. and 5 bucks for the year.
if you can manage to transfer all your old mons from your old games up while in that month timeframe and you dont plan on using it anymore then cool.

but yeah if you want to keep them in there stored for future games,(and nintendo is making it seem like pokebank is gonna be around for a looonnnggg time for use on future gens)and i've read also that poke bank will even drop random mystery gift items for your pokemon to hold. kinda like to keep you go back to the app and using it.

i guess. im sure we'll get more details about it in the coming months. but i think its dope. its crazy how much this series has evolved. i remember buying red version my freshman year in high school cause my girlfriend was mad into it when it was fresh.

That doesn't get your gameboy Pokemon to X and Y though, if that's what you're going for.

you need ds versions of the games not emulated roms. pokebank will spot them and not let you do it that way. that is if you were thinking of using an r4 card with gen 3 games. You still need to have the physical copy and a ds that has a gba slot
