Who's excited for X and Y?

i sure am. i traded in my 3DS long ago, but I recently purchased the 3DS XL in preparation for Pokemon and Smash Bros. and some of the other good games like Mario Kart, new Zelda, Monster Hunter, etc... in between.

As someone who's played since I was little starting with Red, the new series is a big deal. Full 3D models for Pokemon in what I call a "real" Pokemon game is a big deal. I think this will be the Ocarina of Time of Pokemon games.

Pokemon Red was the first video game I ever owned.
Gold and Silver were my cocaine.

After that the series got stale for me.

Red and Blue, so many memories. I owned them both.

red and blue were awesome, but when i played gold/silver, i loved it so much more.

So many good times.

I have Red, Gold, Ruby and Fire Red.
I used to love crossbreeding on Ruby.

I EV trained and crossbred Gardevoir like 4 times to experiment and the 4th generation Gardevoir ended up with ridiculous stats.
It was such a powerhouse that I beat my friend's Mewtwo with ease.

I remember that it was a pain in the ass to find shiny Pokemon...
The only one I remember seeing was a shiny Teddiursa in Gold, and it fucking FLED!

I'll definitely be checking out the new games.

I'm gonna play Ruby on my GBA for a bit.

I think the part I like the most is you get to pick one of the new starters AND one of the originals from Red and Blue.

yea i like Charmander a lot. but you get a bonus Torchic as a DLC if you hook up to the Nintendo shop thing before January.

so you don't want none of this... Torchic, Squirtle, Chespin... you lose B

i played the diamond/ pearl / platinum games becuase well i started playing late, but i got this thing on my phone, so ive been playing alotof emerald... I think im gonna play fire red when i beat emerald.. idk what do u guys think?

Definitely play the first Pokemon.

Yup, Red and Blue. Can also pick up Yellow, it's the same thing but with Pikachu as your starter.

Gameboy Color and maybe Advance can play them...forgot if they could or not.
