The akira movie is just a haphazard cut and paste away of the manga and can only be considered good if you didn't read the original source material, though I guess it's a good gateway into the medium much like Evangelion was.

Pixar seem like they can do no wrong. Like everyone else Toy Story. Finding Nemo is a very solid film, probably my favourite now I think about it. Lion King and Jungle Book are two classics.
Fantastic Mr. Fox was very unique and witty. Really enjoyed it.

I love Toy Story, it's just so classic. Other than that, pretty much any Pixar movie. Finding Nemo, Up, Monsters Inc., etc.
