I've heard good things about Breaking Bad, but I don't watch it. I like True Blood, Walking Dead and Entourage even though its off now. Funnier stuff includes It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, one of my faves.

Arguably the best TV show right now. This show isn't for someone who just want thrills and constant action. Not every episode ends with a major cliffhanger that proves to be a nonissue in the next episode (a la Prison Break). It's a character-driven show. It's more interested in how the guy is slowly changing and its effect on his family, not how many guns are pointed at him. Expect a lot of drama, perfect acting, and lastly a plot that slowly catches momentum and doesn't let go for one bit in four seasons. Unlike other shows, this one gets better by the season.

I disagree that it gets better by the season, I'd say it's quite consistent.

Agreed about the Prison Break thing. I have a soft spot for the show, it's the show that got me into dramas in 2008. But after rewatching it, there are way too many cheap thrills just to keep the tension and ridiculous moments. I don't think I'd ever like if I started watching it now.

You should definitely stick with Breaking Bad! It's an amazing show. I'm not too sure what you're into, but I recommend you give these a try.

Don't be put off True Blood due to the show being orientated around vampires. I know two people who pretty much laughed at me for liking the show, but I told them to try it, and they loved it. (They literally watched seasons 1-4 within a few weeks)
