I'm fine with this, but I'd prefer if the new movies had nothing to do with the 6 existing ones. Just make a spin-off and maybe have cameo appearances from the likes of Yoda.

Joss Whedon is the shit though. I don't think this would be his type of thing, and I doubt even he would do it right.

As much as I love Star Wars, I'm not sure how I feel about this...I hope it either covers the years between The Clone Wars and A New Hope or picks up where Return of the Jedi left off...though I hope they actually do something more innovative than that. After Revenge of the Sith they should have stopped, that was a great movie that's about to be tarnished by a terrible Disney/Star Wars movie.

Seriously though...I like the newer trilogy. Obviously not has good as the originals but come on...you can't expect Lucas to top those.

Revenge of the Sith is my favorite Star Wars movie...Lucas ended that trilogy on a very high note.

its an excuse to sell yet another set of already released dvd in the future. at a premium.

i love all 6, its great entertainment. and it has that american spark to it that wizard of oz has. its our right as a citizen. just as american as chucks, muscle cars, and hotdogs.

lets just hope this new trilogy is legit, cause the star wars world has a lot of branches, and hundreds of story arcs already done in paperbacks

Think we need to remember, Lucas isn't involved in this. Lucas gave the rights away. He will only be a producer. He won't direct or write the new ones.
