I'm excited to watch Deb and Dexter's relationship pan out. Not so much the being in in love part, but the serial killer part.

Dexter's inner monologues went from being witty and insightful to just stating the obvious to the fans.

Finally got the time to watch the rest of Season 6. Although DDK's acting and motives were never convincing the twist with Travis was really good. I think they could have done it better if DDK was just obsessed with Revelations but not actually religious. The whole "God is telling me/you..." line was getting painfully repetitive.

And with the finale, it's a season late. She should have found out at the end of Season 5. Heck, even Quinn was on to him. Dexter should never have miraculously escaped for the billionth time. At least they realised their mistake and did it on this finale.

Haha, I know right? Or maybe... we've been drawn into the character so much that we think like him.

I lost interest in the show. Formulaic and repetitive.

Last 2 seasons were pretty awful. That's what happens when they drags things out and milk the show.

That insect storyline is retarded.

I'll copy a post about the finale
- Dexter knowing that Travis has his wallet, ID, keys info and all and not be worried at all about his family

- Travis walking around (driving) in broad day light while he's definitely a wanted man. Major major WTF on this one.

- Dexter disappearing at sea randomly, freaking out the coastguard and his sister in the same place, same time, where Travis set his boat on fire.. Yeah right ok sure, nothing to see here.. move along. please...

- Dexter entering the crime scene first and alone... for the first time ever. How convenient! Bashing in the painting is good enough, half assed forensic work would have easily reconstructed the painting, hence revealing Dexter's face (minimal damage had been done.. silently on top of it).

- Security at the various buildings being incredibly thin, letting Dex escape with an unconscious man and a kid. Basement parking or not, this makes no sense with the security footage...

- Dexter being dumb enough to pick the Church as a kill room for Travis while Deb told him to go there for a forensic sweep W T F !

Those are the first ones that come to mind but there are tons of others too. Laguerta going for ubber bitch to sweet nice, Debs retarded psych suggesting and pushing her towards her brother (what a stupid storyline), Quinn behaving in such ways that should have had him fired waaaaaaaaaaaay before, Dexter sending videos of himself to Travis, calling 911, leaving plenty of evidence of him being on different crime scenes, Dexter never being at work and just *beep* around...

This thread basically shows how flawed the writing has gotten: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0773262/board/nest/192606560

I've been too busy to follow any show lately. All I can get time for is an occasional 30 Rock or Arrested Development. I'll be catching up on Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, and True Blood. Maybe get into Sons of Anarchy too. I gotta long summer waiting for me :y:
