Another game that went out to win and put 100% - we were ultimately beaten by easily the best side of the league, but the players deserved the standing ovation they got on the lap of honour - shame on the minority who left early.
City fans were class as well (aside from the De Jong songs after we sang about Ben Arfa). The ones I met before the game were brilliant, and they made a lot of noise throughout. After we'd clapped of their players (Kompany, Hart et all were superb as well, applauding all sections of the stadium) they applauded our players back on the lap of honour, which was a lovely touch.
As I say, never enjoyed a defeat so much. 4th is still up for grabs but obviously unlikely. Amazing season.
To add, Kompany and Lescott are the best CB pairing in the league and Yaya Toure is in another realm of class.
Looks like I'm going Everton away last game as well. Should be immense.
Lots of nice Geordies on the train back. Was great for both sets of fans to applaud the teams, hope you get CL. Lots of tears among the city fans...we don't really know how to deal with this.
I just hope we finish the job on Sunday. United do not deserve this title.
