I would slay a thousand children to have Grabovski on the Canucks. I know that the Leafs organization would never be stupid enough to move him though, at least I hope they wouldn't be.

So I was watching the Canucks scrimmage last night on the internet, they're doing these scrimmages like pre-season games. It wasn't bad. The Sedins look really good, Raymond and Kassian played really well together which is great since Booth and Kesler are hurt. It's going to be an interesting year for the Canucks I think. Not necessarily in a good way either.

Lmfao, Feaster (Calgary) is the worst GM in the league. The race between Karlsson and Irving is really close to be the backup for Kipper. So what does he do? He puts both on waivers so that he can send either one down depending on who wins the backup job... "Can't decide now, better risk losing both of them on waivers!". Genius,

Would make sense. Getzlaf won the Cup with Carlyle.

We need a true number 1 C.

But like I said, I'm content with Bozak if he's all we have. He's a young guy. We have a 1A-1B forward group, as opposed to a true number 1 line and number 2 line.

Lupul-Bozak-Kessel

and

Kulemin-Grabovski-MacArthur

share the scoring duties. Kulemin had an off-year last year. Get him going this year (he will be, he was over a PPG in the KHL during the lockout) and we'll be fine.

Somehow add Getzlaf and we're laffing. :shifty:

You're going to have to trade to get Getzlaf though, what would you guys give up?

Getzlaf only had 10 more points than Bozak last year lol.

And he played 82 games.

Lol thats funny....but u know what he is capable of...

If he is a ufa next year....and he gets traded this year thr the ducks will expect an over payment

That's not how trade value works. Pending UFA's are worth less on the trade market.

Nonis doesn't overpay. The reason he got fired from Vancouver is apparently because he didn't move Schneider and Edler (when they were young) for Brad Richards... Nonis tries to get players for cheap, like Luongo was when we got him. It's just how he did stuff in Vancouver, and how he'll continue to work in Toronto if I had to guess.

You'd lower it so you have something to show for it.

I'd rather wait and just sign Getzlaf for free.

Rhyming all the time.

Luongo should have been a Sen...Thank God he never was.

Still better than Andersson or Lehner are right now.

What has Luongo and Schneider done for Van?

Back to back presidents trophies, a cup finals appearance, and they won the award for least goals allowed by a goaltender (shared since Schneider played 25+ games).

That's what.

bigray wrote:So why get rid of Luongo?

Because he doesn't want to be here anymore, and we have another incredibly promising young goalie coming up named Eddie Lack. Luongo isn't getting any younger, Schneider is great, and Lack is going to be a good goalie too. Moving the old goalie for another position we need while keeping the younger goalie makes way more sense. Especially if we can get a young forward, the Sedins are probably on the decline now.

Because Schneider is now ready for the job.

And Luongo's contract sucks

Who signed him to that awful contract?

If you look at the structure to it, the contract made sense. It was signed before Luongo messed up his groin and went from an elite goalie to just a really really good one.

bigray wrote:Lehner >>>>>>>> Schneider

on paper today

Lehner has won a championship on every level so far he is tearing it up in the AHL.

Recipient of Jack A. Butterfield Trophy, AHL Playoff "Most Valuable Player" (2011)
Calder Cup Champion, Binghamton Senators

He is a A+ goalie.

Who's played more NHL games? Schneider. You can't say Schneider hasn't won any awards either. Here we go:

1 High school award.

U18 Gold Medal
U18 Silver Medal
USA Hockey Goalie of the Year

12 Awards at the University Level

AHL: Goaltender of the Year (2009) [Aldege Bastien Award], Harry Holmes award for lowest Goals Against by a goalie.

NHL: Jennings award for least goals allowed as a tandem with Luongo (Schneider played over 25 games, so it was a co-won trophy).

Just saying, Schneiders resume isn't exactly weak compared to Lehner.

Schneider >>>> Lehner right now. He's more proven, and has also won at every level.

Lehner is the most talked goalie in the league. ..check every previee on tsn or anywhere what they say about our goaltending.

Here is a face "since 2004 2 lockouts Leafs 0 playoff appearances"

What ever just wait till the season starts and u see how good Lehner is...go look at the ahl stats right now.

I could tell you to go look at Schneiders stats from in the AHL too, which were amazing.

I've been watching TSN almost everything, I've heard literally like one thing about the Senators goaltender.

That article seemed a lot more "meh" about your team than you made it out to be. Especially in regards to the goaltending.
