Help Please!

i have dial-up and it's very slow. does anyone know how to make downloads faster?
i downloaded a download accelerator from download.com but it seemed to make downloads slower.

and it's because my sister has att and she put me on her connection so i get dial up for free.

i'm not sure but there was a compression software that actually worked, though they charged $15 a month, but you dialup felt like a 300k connection...regardless, broadband is so cheap now, its definately worth going for...
