theres a few things you need to ensure your pc runs smooth and fast:

at least 512mb memory and pentium 4 (ht if possible) or amd 64

then your pc would run faster.

In basic terms a decent processor and memory is what ya need. Also scan for viruses, there are a few that can sow your pc.And go to add/remove programs and get rid of what you dont need.

usually if ur just listening to songs and surfing it doesnt need much mem. I think most of the problem is that u dont take care of it. U should clean the history, defrag and shit like that. There is a good program to use "System Mechanics" it will fix everything for u, all u have to do is let it run for bout 2 hrs or so and it makes it run at optimum.

how u get more....is it one of those things that go inside? coz i hate those,...i cant put them in :(

ram is the easiest thing to install.

Its like inserting a sega mega drive game catridge.

Get urself a nice 1gb stick of ram and just install it reading the instructions on the box.

No. Unless maybe you could be having viruses and/or spyware on your comp slowing it down. Then you can download a program to get rid of that, otherwise there's no program to speed up the comp.
