what operating system do you have?

try pressing F8 or Delete during the booting (i.e. in bio)s and then a menu will pop out...choose normal

I'm pretty sure that you entered BIOS. That's not what you should do.
When the Windows Me Logo appears, press [F8], and then a menu will be shown for you. Then, choose normal, press enter.

Just take it easy, what happens then, if it doesn't work, do you entering Win still in safe mode, even if you choose normal, or what?
If so, put in your win install disc, and press r or follow the on-screen-instructions, and try to repair your installation..

Take it to the geek squad at Best Buy...they'll look it over and give some probable reasons why it's doing so...

Well.
Get a copy of the W2K-install disk instead [Windows 2000], and be happy. WinMe HAVE a LOT of bugs and it really, really, really sucks, yes, W2K is the most stable that Microsoft have ever released.
