F.E.A.R.

Postby mcZu » Aug 6th, '10, 14:43

An old piece that is part of my Wisdom And Poetry series. Feedback will be appreciated.

F.E.A.R.. It stands for False Evidence Appearing Real
Evidently, I appear to be disappearing, still-
..I hang ‘round here in F.E.A.R like earrings sealed
As it reveals a man’s true colors, I’m honored, right?
Or is it the cause of people growing color blind?
Falsely adapting peep holes, showing collar minds
They don’t even mind being controlled, dominated
F.E.A.R being an entity, behold.. exonerated
Life is far from a straight path, it’s bold.. accelerated
Cursive due to F.E.A.R, it unfolds agglomerated-
..data, but they say a man fears what he does not understand
Nothing in life is to be feared, covered under hands
It is to be understood, so I cover fear under sand
I wonder, can’t I picture positivism, or is that the ballad?
Fear is a small darkroom where negatives are developed
In order to visualize, you have to comprehend F.E.A.R
To portray success, understanding has to pretend here
To be on the same line as F.E.A.R, I tend, dear-
..God, to be fearless, yet I end up fearing fear itself
Or is it that fear fears me? Fearsome yet clear in itself
Or is the False Evidence Appearing Real fearing itself?
Hence, it appearing to be false, logic seems blind
People lie out of fear, if fear is false, a lie scene demised
Then it means that F.E.A.R fears F.E.A.R
And hope intervenes here, hear, it’s clear, I swear...

McMaybe wrote:Beautiful imagery. I'm not positive what emotion you tried to capture, but it's such a dark feeling song. I can imagine a soft piano, repeating a creepy, tense series of notes. The flow was exceptional, and the lyricism (besides a few points where certain words weren't necessary) was perfect. One of the nicest looking pieces I've read here recently.

This line was the best in my opinion:

I wonder, can’t I picture positivism, or is that the ballad?

Thanks Maybe, really appreciate the feed.
