Thanks, Atone and Arshey and everyone else that has fed it. I (we) appreciate the comments. :y: :y:

As Maybe said, Arshey, I'm 22 (23 this summer). I have a wide array of musical influences. Most of my subject matter is my own life experiences written down in abstract form (not all, mind you; some are just verses that sound good, lol). I do this (write my life in abstract song) as an attempt to keep it personal, yet keep myself out of the song at the same time. It's a technique I learn from my musical idol (Slug of Atmosphere) as a way to let the audience give their own interpretations of the song. I believe that if a listener can interpret a piece of music their own way, then they will gain much more from it than if you simply tell them what's going on in concrete terms.

My influences in music are mostly hip hop artists such as: Eyedea, Slug (as mentioned above), Spoonfull, Aesop Rock and Sage Francis. Commonly known as 'Back Packers'. I'm sure you've heard the term.

As well as the hip hop artists mentioned above, I take a lot of style influence from emo/indie/grunge rock bands. Bands such as: Nirvana, Red Jumpsuit Apperatus, Dashboard Confessional, Taking Back Sunday, etc.

Hope I helped :P :y:

Cool, we're all pretty much the same age then :y: And I figured you guys would listen to alternative stuff, but I was surprised no one said Eminem as an influence! We are on an Em forum.. Maybe it's supposed to go without saying? Iono. But I'll definitely give that stuff a listen.

P.S. thanks for the compliment, Maybe

In most cases it would go without saying but I honestly stopped listening to eminem years ago haha. I'm here for the people that are cool to bullshit with.

No problem man, it's well deserved.

well damn, maybe and cole never stop amazin me, the rhyme scheme you both had in here mixed with the vocabulary in each line was inkredible, cole your shit was line for line seamingly perfection you just rolled into good set up after good set up and those kinds of punches hit hard in my opinion

yeh it had a dark feel to it but i believe that was the point, yall all three did a great job of expressing the age old folklore and your impression of it...shit was dope

block yours wasnt as fluent as theres but you also did a few more in depth and real creative schemes, i dont think this took away from it at all and in fact i like yours alot tbh. it would show more in audio how equal all threee verses are...

you picked a concept, stuck to it, illustrated it well, shit was magnificent in my opinion cant wait to hear it on beat.
