Ego ft. J.R. & Atone - Clusterfuck (TRShady Tape #11)

It seemed to me Ego was trying a bit of a new style and trying to sharpen their punches. I liked the third rock for the sun line, but I think the sinus punch was my favorite. Lyrically you both killed it. Smooth flow through it all and I like the schemes, the sounds from saying it were cool. I thought Aton had a nice start as well. I felt like the first two bars were killer and the rest were mediocre in comparison. I think its the way you place your multies, they work but it kinda of makes the flow tough to get smoothly the whole time. Just some minor stuff. J.R., loved your first bars. After that, ehh. Good rhyme and punch in the first bars but the rest lacked in rhyming and I found the flow tough. The ideas were good but the execution wasn't there. However that other piece you just dropped was far better.

And for the hook I'm doing, send me your verse so I know what to work from haha.

Thanks man. Yeah, we were just having fun with some punchlines for once. We rarely do that and since we chose the Shady Cypher beat, why not try it out now?

By the way, Atone, you should venture more into collabs. You don't do them very often. Would be cool to see. (Besides you and Me, we're a group, lol)

Atone- Damn, this is more proof of how much better you've gotten. The flow on this was just so smooth. Your verse started out real strong, but then it just became kind of redundant. Try saying more.

J.R.- "I bust sixteen like a cop at a party raid" Haha that was nice. I liked your premise better than your rhymes, though, sorry. Get more intricate with your rhyme schemes. It was cool and funny how you were just going at everyone. A fun read.

Menzo & Geno- This is where I felt the piece started gaining momentum. Loved all your crazy ass lines, both of you. Nothing really stuck out too much though. Maybe cuz I've seen better from you two.

Overall, this piece seemed like a "clusterfuck", and I get that's what you guys were going for but that doesn't mean it was necessarily a good idea lol I think J.R. should have worked on his very own separate piece. Same with Atone. Geno and Menzo meshed together well so they should've just collabed on this one alone.

Classic random lyrical swag verses; this would go well on a battle beat maybe, but I could be wrong.

Not much to say individually; each verse merges with the next verse nicely; although, it would sound a bit awkward depending on how the vocals are performed.

Mostly consistent wordplay and casual technical structures.

Eh, Atone sounds alright on paper here; I really liked way the the verses started, like, I BUST CAPS AND BOOOOOOOM DROPKICK, you know?

Soo much energy at the start of each verse.

This would sound great if it was recorded.
