the limelight

Postby Edge » May 17th, '11, 14:04

Iv come to shine light, and find hype through rhymes tight
Grab the lime light on my sublime plight
Musical devine life, through a blind mic
It dont see color, it dont mind white
Black or yellow, as long as the rhymes nice
Crime write, gotta bug out in here (hair) like if i find lice
Switch the vocal diction, coke addiction
Broke and wishin, i could cope with livin
Throat is itchin, smokin izm
The devils lettuce, makes the trebel get us
Level headers, edgies set will dead us
Tryin to get in the fast lane, with no past fame
I smash brains as i snatch chains
Cuz the cash reigns, supreme
Wreck the track like i crashed trains
Neddels go and thrash veins, shootin up
Black and bluein up, bruised and cut
Spewin up, Loosin blood, u get suck
For ur jewlry, if u knew me
My crew be, packin oozie(s)
Like two, three, or four each
Noones liking your speach, Im not within your reach
I rhyme to the hard to the core beats
One opening act from edgel make ya tour cease
So i suggest u dont ever ignore these
Rhymes that are pure beast
Coming with lyrics that beat you down with sure ease
Never chill with short-ies, just chill on the for-ties
As i kick back and just tell my store-ies

Sorry about you getting slept on. This was pretty dope. Awesome flow, and even better rhyming :y: You come hard with 'em multies! I love when you did this:

"Switch the vocal diction, coke addiction
Broke and wishin, i could cope with livin
Throat is itchin, smokin izm"

It slowed down towards the end, but understandably. The punchlines were pretty basic, but you made up for it by the hard-to-think-up rhymes and constant rhythm. It's always good hearing from you :) Your vocab is improving.

About the lack of feedback. Don't sweat it, just keep it comin'. People will eventually notice. The more you put it out there that you're being slept on, the more they'll ignore you.

Thank you for the feed man... I was really working on the flow/rhyming and vocab on this... I know it lacked punchlines but I feel like sometimes I overuse them so I just wanted to come with something straight lyrical... I agree it definetly slowed down towards the end, where would u say it slowed down for u?

Everything after this line: "Like two, three, or four each" But it's totally understandable cuz your flow was nonstop constant right before it haha couldn't expect you to keep that up throughout the whole piece

Lol word. I actually wrote this verse in like 40 mins on my way home from school and towards the end got lazier and rushed lol I agree that's where it fell off for me too. I might go back and rewrite it from that point on. Thanks again
