Sentus- Syllable Symphony

Postby classthe_king » Jul 5th, '11, 00:33

Ode to Coleon's Syllable series

I’m outta my mind…and my heart is frigid
Colder than the frost in blizzards from the arctic winter
When my bars deliver the track will spark and simmer
I’ll get this shit poppin quicker than your gothic sister
Got the picture? I’m the apocalyptic lava spitter
Molten rock emitter on top of bridges launchin missiles
From my maw disintegrating any cop that whistles
I’ll leave you scarred and blistered or your carcass withered
I’m a cosmic wizard droppin twisters from palms I’m sicker
Than yall could figure in any battle I stomp the victor
Bionic lizard stalkin victims from tar pits with the
Sharpest claws to rip ya for an awesome dinner
The darkest mixture of a godless sinner and a cross worshipper
The sonic ripper spewing such hypnotic whispers
I’m fly as a rocket ship or when a flying saucer lifts ya
Up into the sky and you are dropped and injured

The whole thing was fire, and the rhyming was phenomenal. Although I wasn't feeling the last 2 bars, I don't know why  I just wouldn't make a sequel haha because mindless rhyming pieces get played quick.

Haha thanks man, and yeah, the last two bars were garbage but when you rhyme something 31 times it's hard to come up with more shit to say lmao

Accent issues must have stopped from properly enjoying this (I couldn't rhyme some of it), but it was overall pretty nice. I usually find this kind of thing rather boring, but it was entertaining enough, with (obviously) great rhyming and some nice lines.

As with Cosh I felt the last two lines felt weird/out of place. Also ending a bar with "and" is a pet-peeve of mine but hardly a major complaint.

This was actually mad nice. The 'gothic sister' line didn't make sense though, unless chicks in black eyeliner have a tendency to spontaneously combust

And some of the lines were needlessly nerdy, like why wouldn't you say jaw instead of maw? You ain't Charles Dickens, no one talks like that...

And I swear I've heard DZK use a few of these rhymes, especially "godless sinner"

Actually, fuck it, I'm bored, I'ma go on the same scheme...

Off the richter, bar ripper with a heart gone bitter
Barking in ya park, stalking, 'bout to carve your figure
The hard hitter, gon' hit ya when I'm on the liquor
By dawn commit a bigger rap sheet than Saddam and this the-
Start of it all, light skinned, but I'm the darkest N igga
Coughing, spit in your coffin, and rob your misses
She's all sobs and this is my job, commissioned
By some sovereign fission, but far from what God envisioned
I maul litters of of you pussys, gut an artist thinner
Than an Olsen twin filled with laxatives and starved for dinner
The new Godzilla, flip your car and then scar Atilla
I'm far realer than you so-called hardened killers
I sparred with martyrs, lost some blood and used tar for filler
Got iller, Lost an ear and got fitted with a shark attena
Now the second blood's spilled, I start hawking in, the-
Softest I've ever been? Shit, that moment's not remembered
You're speechless like Steven Hawking when I cut off his finger
When I enter the room, sure bet you start to tremor
Devil tried to cop my soul, like "yo, can I barter whicha?"
He offered the world, I told him fuck off or make the offer bigger
:coffee:

Ending one of the bars with "cross worshiper" fucked up the flow. Aside from that is was dope, too lazy to give real feedback.

All my relevant and concept tracks I save for audio, these are just throwaway verses.

It's funny how, when we first start rapping, we know that rhyming "frigid" with "missiles" or "worshipper" is a rapping no-no lol but when you get good, you figure out the ropes on multis, assonance, pronunciation and make it work so it sounds dope haha it's like coming full circle. Or maybe I'm just babbling... Anyway, good drop :y:

Haha yeah, it's really all about pronounciation. I just emphasize the first syllable and then quickly rap the second one and with the way I flow it it works. I know what you mean.

@Blu, well this took me like 45 minutes but on a verse I'm trying my hardest usually a couple days. I'm a perfectionist so if I can't think of a great rhyme or line I'll just stop and come back the next day or later that day. When I first started it would take me weaks to write verses but I've gotten quicker.
