Pharrell Williams and Snoop Dogg will be headlining South Africa's People's Celebration concert series this April.
According to Billboard Magazine, Pharrell and Snoop will be joined by Sean Paul, Mario and Rihanna for the three-night concert series which visits the Johannesburg Stadium on April 27, Durban's ABSA Stadium on April 29 and Cape Town's Green Point Stadium on May 1. Several local South African acts will also perform.
The concert series will offer fans a first listen to new material from Pharrell, whose solo album, In My Mind, has had its release date postponed repeatedly. The album was originally slated to be released last November.
The People's Celebration concerts will be filmed by SABC 1 and broadcast for some 23 million people throughout South Africa.
The People's Celebration concerts are being held in honor of Premier Foods becoming the largest completely black-owned company in South Africa. Premier, which makes different varieties of bread, flour and rice, is launching contests for free tickets and cash prizes in conjunction with the shows.
