D-12 member, Swifty McVay, may be arrested very soon, after he snubbed a court date to attend his fallen comrade, Proof's funeral, which has resulted in a warrant being issued.
Swift (real name, Ondre Moore) was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday (April 19) to determine whether he has violated probation when he was arrested for drunk driving, but did not show, because of Proof's funeral service.
A Novi district judge issued a bench warrant for Swift and set his bail at $500,000.
"While I recognize the importance of attending a funeral ... there is a requirement that you make some effort to comply with a court order," the judge said, according to the AP.
The rapper pleaded guilty to drunk driving, for an incident stemming from an October 2005 arrest, where he allegedly registered blood alcohol levels of .079 and .084 in court-ordered mandatory drug tests one morning last week.
The charge is a misdemeanor, punishable by up to three months in jail.
During the day he was tested, the rapper also tested positive for illegal drugs and was jailed for two days. Swift was then placed on two years probation and ordered to do 50 hours of community service, attend Alcoholics Anonymous and stay away from drugs and alcohol, the Detroit Free Press reported. But in March, Swift tested positive for alcohol and was sentenced to a week in jail. Last week, a judge said that Swift tested positive for alcohol again, which triggered the hearing.
Swift missed the hearing, because he was an honorary pallbearer Wednesday at Proof's funeral.
