Public Enemy have given 50 Cent the thumbs down, labelling his music tiresome.

Speaking as guests on last night's TRL, Chuck D and Professor Griff from the legendary hip-hop outfit, who are marking their twentieth year in the game with a tour, had little praise for Fiddy following his new video being played on the show.

"I'm not feeling that at all," Griff told TRL's Max, "I've been in the game too long, I'm tired of the same old subject, the same old story, the same old beef.

"It's nothing different. It's just someone different doing it that's all."

Chuck D wasn't quite as scathing though: "I think 50's a smart guy," he said, "it's just down to his interviews, they're not reflective. Because of the way he comes across, they don't let people know how smart he is."

Public Enemy are playing two dates in Dublin and London later this month.
