do you live in the suburbs or something? how can you not look outside and see that money is needed

16 years in Barrio in Harlem are frankly quite enuff for me to know wut ghetto is.

we're not trying to save everyone.. everyone can't be saved. BUT, the biggest gap between minorities and whites is in education... fixing up a elementary school... reading to some little kids.... donating some money so that the library can have a selection.. THESE THINGS WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE.... right now.. kids are being trained to work at mcdonalds.... who WANTS to work at mcdonalds? that's why they drop out and sell drugs and shit. if someone donated money to the schools... the kids could get better teachers.. better books... and feel like they had a chance

If we wanted to make a difference, we would have long ago. Cuz right now every inner city minority acts like all they want is to move drugs and shoot eachother. I ve seen it around me, you ve seen it around you. I cant explain it. The project housing, the ghetto, was made to keep us in. And we embraced it. Make it better? We dont want to. Get out? They dont let us. You and me can go out the hood. Can you say the same for 50.000 hispanics right now? White America won, there is no way no more. Lost case.

you need to read "Savage Inequalities" by Johnathon Kozol ... or just go to the projects and look around... everytime i watch MTV Cribs, it makes me sick to my stomach. To see someone have so much... sure they worked hard... but to not give ANY money back to the community is selfish.

Oh i ve seen TOO MANY in my life. I am sick of them. Why you think i am living in Maryland now?

you're paying the record company.. you're paying lawyers.. you're paying assistants and publicists.... and since you're a 50cent dickrider, i know you'll agree when i say that he made LOTS OF MONEY.... is it SOOOOOO much to ask for him or any rapper to donate some money or time to your damn people?!

Why would he be giving to us??? What does he owe to us???

thanks for everyone so far that has took the time to read the discussion and express their views I will be studying them for some time. danigantt thanks for such effort in that last post :worship:.

Personally ye, my whole life has changed the last few months and I dont know if I will ever battle again in music, and I dont know whether to make any battle tracks, I wrote sum crazy long shit about the rap dogs tht wud of lasted about 6 mins of continuous shit on audio but I decided not to audio it lol. Newy ye where I live -manchester- there is wealth in some parts, but there is so much crime, drugs etc, and I'm spending all of my time just watching and experiencing life here and writing all about life and real shit, I doubt if I wil ever write in a positive way about gangsterism in my music but my lyrics are all going to be about life, thats why I'm slow to drop audios for u guys cos I put my soul into every bar atm, Ive been saying up a few tracks, I got 4 atm, that are good, and I'm working towards a cd im going to make dont knw if its a mixtape or just collection of tracks but I'm hopefully gonna try and get signed after it, to put my views across, I hope to send an example of it soon in rap audio. Well anyway ye, Manchester is full of shit that uspests me - if u just type in something like shootings in manchester into google then u will see loads of trajic stuff, I jus read a book the other week about gang war in manchester and its crazy, anway its never something I could be proud of, and I'm going to use my music as a way to try and help ppl in a range of ways I can. Just now there is sirens in the next street so I dont knw wht is going on, and 2days ago a 15 year old boy got shot dead over a gang war issue with 4 shootings in the last month, ppl like gkilla etc mite have herd this on the national news, neway I'm writing about it all but for the reasons I said earlier. As I said thanks for all ur input and feel free to comment on what I've just said and please continue the discussion and feel free to ask questions as well as express ur views. Cheers Mc Cubz

well with some of the things im writing about now, I havent experienced them, like I haven't been shot luckily, but Im writing a song about shootings and it is dedicated to a guy who died recently. Although it was in my area of south manchester, I was not involved, but I still felt affected and want to write about my feelings, if you get me.
