There is a certrain underwater stream which depends on the salt (something like that) which is going slower and slower. If brings heat to the continents so if that stream stops you got a new ice age.
You mean the mid atlantic drift? The warm air that travils from the east coast of south-America, all up the east coast of america then over the atlantic and falls on western europe? Thats thy the uk is so warm for its latitude. Look at places like moscow which is a similar latitude, but far different climate.
Many of these patterns are not yet understood, like elninyo (unsure of spelling) which is the pattern of rainfall and weather patterns. For example one year you might get loads of rain, the next you get very little, next the get even less and the following you get a flood. Thats what happens in Eastern Australia and it causes loads of problems.
