We have hot summers, and unlike most popular beliefs(such as that our streets are populated with polar bears and walruses menacing the largest puddles) our appartments are fully heated(although alternative heating methods do exist : like vodka).

I think everywhere has its bad areas. Like in the uk, Birmingham and Manchester are bad for crime etc, same with east London.
