I believe in normal schools (over here we call them state schools). I go to a state school and I couldn't imagine going to any other type.

I'm sure home schooling is beneficial in some aspects but I think that the child would probably be less confident socially, as they are not learning and problem solving in groups.

Again, I think the same applies to single gender schools. Whilst the students may be able to interact perfectly well with the same sex, I think some less outgoing students would find it difficult to socialize with the opposite sex outside school.

I don't know too much about boarding school, all I know is that I wouldn't ever go to one.

I suppose it

Normal school. People go there not only to get some knowledge but also to learn social skills - how to behave in a group, how to work in a team but also how to react in different situations. We have an opportunity to meet other people, talk to them, have some fun but also it's a great chance to help other people when they're in need.

I wouldn't like to go to one-sex school. I think it's stupid cuz people are kinda isolated - I mean we should get to know boys and girls. Although it's scientifically proved that for example girls have better achievements when they're in one-sex school, I don't think it's a good idea..

In my class there's only like 7 boys [n 21 girls :confusion: ] and from my own experience I know that the class is more integrated when there's more boys.. And it's always funnier then.. :D :D

Boarding schools are alright, my dad sent me into one wen i was young.. a rediculous system. The bitch that bosses u around get on ur nerves all the time, to many damn rules that are useless.

Normal school was good in russia, the english system was a slacker version compared to it though.

I prefer a normal school with moderately enforced rules.

Never tried homeschooling, but im guess homeschooling can make a person less socially active, simply coz u might lack the extra contact with people in school.

totally right
in our school ppl dont give a fuck, we are sitting in the lessons with mp3-players on our heads...
they say: its your own responsibility whether you make it or not
so the system means everyone gets stupid because of lazyness

word. I do believe that peole should make their own choices, but lazyness shouldnt be an option.

IN a russian school u have a diary in wich they put ALL your results, including the grade u get for wen the teacher calls u out to speak at tha blackboard. Its like atradition that u come home and let ur parents check ur diary. You get a 2( out of a 5 scale system) u get ur ass wooped, simple as that.

IN an english school with the gcse system here i didnt have to even tell my grade, it was like heaven compared to my previus school.

^^^ I think it's good when you have your all grades put in one place and you know them. Cause you can always go to the teacher and bitch about your year's grade :D

You've got 5 scale system? like 1,2,3,4,5? we've got 1-6 scale with '+' and '-' - you can get 1+ for example. i got my last one last week - i scored 13 points out of 50 in maths

we got the minuses too.

But the thing is the teacher doesnt count the grade mathmatically, sometimes wen u piss the bitch off shed be giving u a 2 just for being a thickhead in one question.

public school kindergarden - 5th grade.

6th-12 private/prep day school. (we didnt board, so i didnt have an option to pick)

then college

personally, if I could do it over again, i wouldnt have gone to prep school in middle school. (6-8 grade) those grades mean nothing so its pointless to pay 20k a year for it. Plus socially i think its better to stay public as long as possible. In highschool where you really begin to learn things, go to private/prep if you have the money. Learn a hell of a lot more and get into better colleges.
