depends. now i can say "yeah, i'm for it" but when it'd come to it, i'd prolly have to reconsider it..

it's not legal here, and it doesn't seem it has any chances to be legal, so i've never thought about it that serious. but actually i think everyone should have right to sign a certain application, in which he or she would say that they agree with a possibility of euthanasia if there was no chance to recovery (but only if they wanted it, there's no point in making it obligatory)..

well i think we should have the right to say if we wanna live or not i mean like ne1 else shud b able to choose...its like tha opposite 2 murder if u get me...forcin tha person 2 stay alive.

i think that i person has the right to end their own lives, but NOT if a relavtive or spouse chooses to end a person's life like if the person was in a comma i say that they should wait it out because there is the possibility of them coming out of the comma.

there was this one case of this here this lady was braindead and her husband(?) wanted the doctors to pull the plug but her parents wanted to keep her alive, it was this HUGE debate and people were trying to get water to her. her first name was Terri, i think but i can't think of her last name

theres still a chance...

i think there was a thread like this before.

The doctors know theres a slim chance but wen they explain such situations they presure a patient to act like their doing the right thng by letting them go.

The goverment should not be stingy on money and it simply MUST keep every person alive untill he dies on his own, if it takes 90 years of being braindead, dont matter... thats what they should be doing. We work for them, think for them, vote for them, fight for them, die for them... but somebody is dying in critical condition and they need aparatus to be provifded to prolong our life they start offering our relatives "aternatives" of simply helping us die... coz u know, we cant pay for years of coma...

bullshit.... mercy killing is not an option, no matter how painfull it is, one should not kill antoher, pain is hard to go through but sometimes u have to, thats how life is. If u cant speak speak for urself and they (the doctors) assume that ur in pain or u "cant stand it" and they kill you, thats cold blooded murda ...

in this matter, all emotion needs to be put aside, only rational thinking left and strong moral principle.

ya i think it was wrong what they did to her she could of maybe made it through.

ON mercey killing like u said aspirine they should not kill just because there in pain. But would you want to live a life by suffereing all the time but they are asking for the death so they can die peacefully not suffereing everyday and wanting to die to get rid of the pain. The doctors aren't just killing them because there ill they are asking for it I think maybe they should have the choice. But then again it is murder and suicide and that might give other people ideas just because the doctors get to do it so im kinda on the side and against it
