I just hate this new internet format of rap battling, it's not even rap battle no more, just dudes spitting bars about how hardcore and gangsta they are at another dude with 2 bars just aimed at them.

Em can totally destroy them with simplistic rhymes like the 8 mile battles, especially with a crowd that will most likely be there cuz eminem is promoting it, not cuz they know much about rap.

I bearly understand what they are talking bout half the time, just describes too much and says too little if that's understandable

The battle rapping game is on point here in mexico though, aczino> any of these dudes

Don't get me wrong, I've seen some good kodt battles but i still much prefer someone spitting stuff about what's going on at the moment or something about them instead of random punchlines and complicated bars that just serve as filling. Lots of the Kodt battles that are good, i like them cuz they rap about each other, what i don't like is this,
"i'm so raw, i'll break your jaw
ask around, here, i'm the law
I spit bars, LIke great cars
they're fast like bugatti's, but strong like rocky, they'll make you see stars"

i prefer somethin like

"i ain't fucking around, you coming to battle rap
tryna' take my crown, Wearing that swag fag hat
I heard you released and album, somewhere around in fall
it sold about 10 copies and your mother bought them all"
(don't have anyone to talk about so it's basically just imaginary)

you get me right?

The fuck was that. 2 second battle? One round each lmao? Weak shit.

It would be coo if they tried to introduce beats back in to the mix somehow - try to keep the same new and personal intensity of the new era but have some musical backing... I think that would make this shit stand-out a little better and be a nod to the golden era whilst still tryna advance it.

Nobody believed me when I said this shit was going to be fucking wack and gay. Censored battle rap? Really? Lol. And Royce was like, "No disrespect to Cortez, but I'm give it to T-Rex....."

Gay.
"So one last time, I'm back, 'fore it fades into black and it's all over, behold the final chapter in the saga, trying to recapture that lightning trapped in a bottle twice, the magic that started it all...tragic portrait of an artist tortured....trapped in his own drawings..." - Bruce.

I figured it would suck, tbh. Eminem won't have much to do with it, I'm sure.
I bet this was mostly Paul's idea.

Em would get streamrolled by most of today's top battle mc's. the 8 mile battles were very scripted and are not a good reference point for battling in the real world.

Any battle mc that can carry their own weight can freestyle at any moment. Watch that diz vs canibus battle, diz was pulling shit out of the sky like "I get my free on -- it makes sense that you got that sling on because you've never been a good shoulder to lean on" - and that's not a standalone example, all of these mc's have that ability. it's just that no matter what premeditated material is always going to hit harder than off the top shit.

like this? note he also incorporates freestyle into this when organik shows him the clock, i got tons of this shit if it's what you're looking for.
i'm comin in, drivin my short bus
with this nose i don't need a torch up
bustin through, light the industry's porsche up
comin after who didn't support us...
imma change your brain bring
every wicked bit of strange to mainstream

That's not freestyle.

Dizaster would have seen Canibus's sling in the venue hours before the battle started. Those lines are good, but they're good because he had time to think them up.
