I dont understand what you mean at all you should definitely expand on what you mean by that lol.

I'm basically saying The Marshall Mathers LP stands out to me as an album where he focuses more on the aspect of rapping where as on The Eminem Show focuses more on artistry and it allows him to focus on the sound of songs as a whole. Sort of how TES has some singing on it, fleshed out choruses, even has his daughter on a track. MMLP has a bunch of tracks where the choruses are very simple, to the point and short, and then he gets back to the rapping.

From a production stand point, TES is definitely the most artistic as he damn near produced the whole thing.

But MMLP has much more artistic songwriting imo, specifically Stan and Kim.... those songs are far more artistic than anything on TES.

Yeah depends on what you mean. MMLP does have some artistic songwriting on songs like Stan and Kim-- two songs that Eminem completely devotes himself to a story. That's something he doesn't do on TES.

I just feel like the type of music he made overall on TES was more artistic. I felt like it was just a farther range in sounds and he put himself on beats and instrumentals that people probably didn't expect following MMLP.

Plus the sampling on Sing for the Moment--how awesome is that?

i voted tes, although its so difficult to pick. mmlp goes down in history for many reasons in rap and music in general, yet tes was so solid and sold almost as much it is like the forgotten classic.
