I like the interview, it shows how much humble Em is and it's one of the reasons why I like him. :worship:

I seriously think that if Em started practicing a freestyle, he would still be able to do it well.

1. to whomever said this was pointless cause battle rap is irrelevant because words are involved... your pretty much a cancer to rap if you think battling has no part in it.
2. MMA is the most entertaining sport ever.
3. Boxing sucks ass.

4 on a related note. Joe has bars, but he cant keep up the same intensity and honestly will probably forget his bars. Hollow is just a beast in those factors. i dont remember seeing him chocking ever, and he has a huge presence vocally. Maybe if its just on youtube they can edit any chokes he has? idk. i hope he brings it though.

i just dont want the average hip hop fan being like. "yeah i watched Eminem's battle show so i love battle rap and know everything about it."

Joe Budden Worried About Hollow Da Don Battle

Full interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4-BHBocTWs&app=desktop

Joe Budden responds to Cassidy's stance that he "elevated" from Battle Rap. The Slaughterhouse rapper also describes his upcoming match-up against Hollow Da Don at the Total Slaughter event.

With a confirmed battle with Hollow Da Don in the books, Joe Budden spoke with The Angry Fan Radio Show about the match-up. During the interview, Budden responded to Cassidy's recent claims that he is above a return to battling.

"What other guys gonna do it?" Joe Budden said of his own decision to step in the ring. "They all gonna take the scapegoat like Cassidy just took in his interview.

“Cassidy is saying he wouldn’t do it because he feels like it would be a step backwards,” he continued. “That’s bullshit. You have to be able to recognize bullshit when you see it. Cassidy is not getting paid Loaded Lux money right now from anywhere. I’m just talking logic. This is no offense to Cassidy. No disrespect to him and his ability. But you not getting $50,000 from anywhere. So why would you not take advantage of your ability in a culture that applauds lyricist? Why would a JR Writer not wanna do this? Why would a Fred the Godson now wanna do this? I could name plenty of people that maybe got gobbled up in the mainstream machine of labels and politics that thanks to SMACK and Norbes and UW and King of the Dot and all the leagues that have been here before Total Slaughter have now opened an avenue for.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Joe Budden Spoke about his view that mainstream rappers should continue battling and detailed additional views on his upcoming match-up against Hollow Da Don. Read the full story on Battle Rap.

Yeah, that's one thing I don't think these established guys have cottoned on to.

As soon as you write a 4-bar set-up/punch, you need to record it and start memorizing immediately or you're going to choke. Your memory needs to be flawless.

That's what the URL guys are doing...these guys' lives just consist of memorizing writtens and sitting around thinking of punchlines. They're extremely disciplined and nerdy for guys who rap about shooting people with guns all the time.

What seems bleak about the trailer?
the way it looks set up. no crowd, so no energy/reaction (which is what a lot of these guys feed off of and require to do their best). and a little (what seems to be) 15x15 room with a small rectangular platform rap in eachothers faces on. so that on top of the fact that these guys are already rapping acapella as it is just makes it... empty i guess. i hope they'll find a way around this but i really don't see one. and it better not be some annoying ass BYOOOO BYOOO BYOOO DON DEMARCO shit. that would ruin everything.

on a slightly different note, didn't em already do something like this with redbull? the emcee thing.

The reality show "Road to Total Slaughter" will be airing on watchloud.com leading up to the final battle show. The battles on July 12th, I can't tell if that event will be available to view online live or not from the promotional material, but I assume it will be available to view sometime after on watchloud.com
