Award-winning mixtape DJ/producer Clinton Sparks has just launched an innovative campaign called Dare to Care which aims to make partying pay for Hurricane Relief.
Sparks is challenging the nation's most prominent party promoters to organize functions where he donate his DJ time. 100% of each event's revenues will be donated to the hurricane victims. Sparks will also bring celebrity friends to each event and donate giveaways provided by multiple lifestyle companies.
The five promoters in any city in the U.S. who can offer the best turnout will be picked to host a "Dare to Care" Event. The selected promoters and their events will be promoted locally and nationally via radio, print and television and 100% of the events' proceeds will be donated to charitable foundations like The American Red Cross, AmeriCares, United Way and The Salvation Army in the promoters' names. Sparks also plans to join forces with other top DJs to launch a Hip-Hop fundraiser.
In addition to being an award-winning mixtape DJ, Sparks presently hosts radio shows on various stations across the country, including his "Smashtime, Raw, Uncut & Uncensored" radio show on Sirius Satellite Radio. Earlier this year, the Bostonian also produced and released a full-length album, Maybe You Been Brainwashed featuring Mobb Deep, N.O.R.E., Busta Rhymes, Beanie Sigel, Diddy, Fabolous and many more.
