Vanessa says she's on the phone with Eminem and the crowd cheers and..

Em: Vanessaaaa, Vanessaaaa!

Vanessa: [laughs]

Em: Vanessaaaaa, how you doin' baby?

Vanessa: Good, how you doin'? It's been a minute since we talked to you here

Em: Yeah! I've been good though, I mean i miss yall up there man
Vanessa: Well yea, you took some time off after your last tour, and your back in the biz and everything..everythings good for you now-a-days?

Em: Yeah, everythings good..I'm still workin, still producing you know. But I been really uh, big into this uh, staying home-father thing and kinda lovin' it...I ain't took a shower in like - a week

V: Sweet!

Em: Yeah

V: Did you brush your teeth yet today?

Em: Um, I brushed my teeth a couple of days ago I think

V: That's alright, that's alright. Well now I wanna talk about your new album out today - Curtain Call. It was released and everyone's very excited about this. It's a greatest hits album but what's that mean? Are you done writing new material for a minute..for a while, or, this is just....?

Em: It means..CAREER OVER

V: NO

Em: It means....that's how you know your career's over when you call MTV, like I called up there the first time and they was like "Em we don't need you right now, can you call back in about 10 minutes?"

Vanessa & The Audience : awwwww

Vanessa: So wait, is this like Curtain Call like foreal?..like the last....

Em: Nah. Seriously, its just..you know, its like the final chapter of you know, this part of Eminem, you know..i guess basically, so till i figure out what i'm doin' and what my next move is. I guess..you know..I just decided to put out a collection of basically the hits from the first 4 albums

V: That's right, that's right. Until you re-invent yourself again which we're gonna be excited for but on this album, you got 3 new tracks on it...one of them being 'When I'm Gone' and this song, you know, you always put your daughter first in your life and she - obviously..you just said you love the staying at home dad thing..- she's your world so is this kinda ...is this a chapter that you're looking forward to or kinda..wanting to pass on to Hailie? Or is this more like a situation you guys have gone through..this whole song and everything

Em: Well this song, I mean...actually I got 3 little one's at home..I got the 3 year old, I got Hailie - the middle one, and then Alaina..my adopted neice but uhm...you know, the song the reason that it's about Hailie so much, I mean this was a time period in my life i mean everything is absolutely true in the song, but it was just like a lot of guilt when i was on the grind like my career took off so fast that I didn't even understand it, so let alone, her being at the age she was at, couldn't understand why i was leaving so you know, the piling the boxes in front of the door and all that stuff...she really did that.

V: Right right, well uh ..we are very excited and it's out right now and since you couldn't be here, you did the next best thing the whole audience bring 'em out here damien...is getting a copy of your new album - curtain call. Em...a big thank you..everybody..

Em interupts: Yes, Santa Claus is comin' early and also look out for that Obie Trice album droppin' this first quarter and then we got Stat Quo so..

Vanessa: Alright, well listen... take care of yourself, do good and come back to TRL, we miss you down here in New York City, we wanna see you very soon

Em: Yeah well I got that Lifetime Achievement Award..so I thought ya'll was kickin' me out

V: Hahahaha, no we'll make up another award for you. Em, come by soon and thank you so much for callin' in..everybody thank him for the CD

Audience: THANK YOU!!!! WHOOOOO
