Maybe Eminem ,33, is a mama's boy after all . While the cranky rapper -- who demonstrated his softer side recently by proposing to ex- wife Kim Mather's , 30 -- has not quite made full amends with his estranged mom , Debbie Nelson , 50, he has shown her some support .
Debbie recently revealed to star that her famous son is paying her health insurance and covering the cost of her treatment for lymphoma, with which she was recently diagnosed . The cancer crisis is a double blow for Debbie , who has been battling breast cancer since 2003 . " i think Marshall for helping me stay alive". Debbie tells star in an exclusive interview" . i want to be around to see my granddaughter Hailie {Em's 10-year-old daughter with Kim} grow up . That's what keeps me going ".

Nelson hasn't seen her granddaughter since morther -son rift began in 2000 when Em turbulent relationship with his mom -- whom he rapped about killing on the marshall mathers lp in 2000 -- completely deteriorated after Debbie retaliated with an em - bashing rap of her own .
