50 Cent's Album Pushed Back Untill September 4th

Postby ,-,'-{Bar}-',-, » May 25th, '07, 18:37

Rap superstar 50 Cent announced today that the release date for Curtis has been pushed back from June, until September.

"I'm an international artist," 50 Cent said. "My fans worldwide deserve to receive my album at the same time as my fans here in the US. Taking that into consideration moving the album to September was a necessary course of action."

The new release date for 50 Cent's G-Unit/Aftermath/Interscope album Curtis has been changed from June 26 to Sept. 4.

In related news, 50 Cent will host an entire week of BET's long running city video show, Rap City.

50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson, will host Rap City from May 29-June 2 each day at 5:00 pm.

The rapper is hosting Rap City to promote Curtis, which is his third major label release.

During his guest hosting stint, 50 Cent will be joined by G-Unit member Tony Yayo, rap legends KRS-One and Marley Marl and Jeff Johnson.

im guessing, 50 cent has relised his tracks have gotten a terrible response since they have been leaked and that he is goin to re-do the album with the help of dre/eminem....well im guessing/hoping thats what he has did

what this means though is that, he has been pushed back so most probably D12 will get pushed back so no one drops to close to each other, meaning if eminem was goin to drop this year its been pushed back, ultimatly meaning detox will be pushed back even more....are you catching my drift ?

props to s3nd!ke for the news :worship:

In an earlier thread Kuniva mentioned that they weren't planning on dropping the new D-12 album until the 4th quarter anyway.- 50 out in September; D-12 out in late October or early November; Eminem out in probably mid-December for the holiday sales and finally Dre out in January or February 2008- sounds like a good fall-winter to me.

And hopefully 50 is beginning to realize that he's coming off like a cocky ass and is reworking some of his songs to really show off his talent.

well i dont' care, this can only mean that everything else gets pushed back which can be a good thing or a bad thing.. either everyone's taking more time to make it better or they're just to lazy to record anything.

if he had good singles that were on the charts, then i wouldn't be worried about him selling...

but honestly, the general public doesn't seem to care about 50 anymore. i only hear of him on the net, particularly on sites that are affiliated with shady/aftermath... 50 doesn't own the masses anymore. i remember when the massacre was on the brink of coming out, EVERYONE was excited for it. even people that weren't really fans, they were still eager to check it out. but now... shit ain't the same anymore.

the only hip hop artist i see doing well (commercially, i mean :sweating: )in the future is TI and maybe lil wayne. that's probably why 50 pushed it back... cuz he knows he's not gonna sell much.

lil wayne ? come on has hip hop got that bad yet ?

dude, people adore lil wayne. some even consider him the best lyricist right now (commercially speaking of course :sweating: ).

hahahhahahahahhahhaahhahahahhahahhahahahhahahahahaha

I dont mind people adoring somebody, but lil wayne the best lyricist?

New Skool-wise (anyone younger than Buck), Lil Wayne is the best at the moment... :worship:
The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.
