Dre knows how much fans want it, Twitter rant won't change a thing... ironically that's the whole problem - the pressure on him not to disappoint fans after waiting for it nearly 13 years! Even if it's dope a lotta people would be like... What? We waited 10 years for this... Fuck it!
It has to be nothing less than insane in Dre's standards if he's about to let it drop. Bishop Lamont said Dre felt really pressured about it like 3-4 years ago, by now the pressure gotta be outta control.

It would do 150 to 250 first week & then it would get to somewhere in between gold & a millie considering it definitely would be an all stars album on Dre beats but comparing to what its initial tracklist would have sold in like 2001-2003 those numbers are nothing. It could easily be at least 3-4 x plat by now if it came back then.
It's been revamped at least 4-5 times until now so basically it shouldn't even be ''Detox'' no more 'cuz so many things have changed since back then.
Dre definitely have more than 1000 tracks in his vault... When Snoop was with Dre in the studio for those sessions they recorded ''Kush'', he said Dre played music for him all day long & it was from the ''Death Row'' days, all the way to the recently recorded ones.
Wayne recently said Dre sends him beats on the regular & that he's recorded like up to 90 tracks for Dre over the eyars. lol This is insane.

Well that's when it suppose to come... ''2001'' came in late 1999 but then soon after ''TMMLP'' came & changed hip-hop to the full. EM became too big so that's the early reason why Dre sat back on his own stuff... ''Detox'' was first mentioned right before Dre dropped ''2001'' but there was no title yet. They just said Dre's far into his next album even before ''2001'' dropped.

Just like ''TSSLP'' & ''2001'' came together in a way, that's how Dre's next supposed to come right after ''TMMLP''.
Unfortunately Dre's too much of a perfectionist & he has lost momentum not only for ''Detox'' but for many of his artists' albums that never came up even though some were really close.
Game is the only lucky motha'fucka, just when he was wearing off & Dre was gonna put his album in the vault 50 came & set his 3 first singles on fire which saved Game & ''The Documentary''.
