If it weren't for the radically different approach he took with BC4, I would be concerned about this. It might be an indication of a lack of growth or experimentation. However, since he's shown he can take the BC songs in a different direction both sonically and conceptually, I'm not too worried.

He has made it clear with TMR that he is able to build on previously used themes in new and interesting ways that remain true to himself and the original songs as well. You can track his growth and progress as an artist by listening to these connected songs and projects.

It's because this is a solo album... and a long awaited one, it has stature, as any solo albums should... and putting out part 5 song as a first single just feels weird, and uninspiring. If it's going to be so different then why call it that at all? Why not just create a totally fresh, powerful concept.
