Can someone recommend some good Yela songs for me? I never got around him but I'm sure I would if I heard the right tracks - can tell he's a sick rapper. I listened to his album ages ago and hated it though.

I would agree with most of Trimms' list but here's mine anyway:

Push Em'
Director's Cut

'Slumdon Bridge' EP (the whole thing, only 4 tracks and that's what mainly got me into him)
Hard White (Love it for what it is, club song)
Throw It Up (Gets a lot of hate, I hate Gangsta Boo on it but love Yela's verse so I put up with it, even beginning of Em's verse I think is good but falls off a bit.)

I think a lot of the most recent stuff is the best way and work back, I find it hard going from the old stuff to recent with most artists. I'm still only a new fan, few months now and still trying to get through his discography. I have most of it now and I like a song from pretty much every project so far.

Oh and make sure you hear him on 'Worldwide Choppers' by Tech N9ne, dope song.

Pop the Trunk is definitely the song that got me listening to yela. Definitely pays homage to his country roots and his life in the gutter, which I love when rappers represent and dont forget where they started out. Trunk Muzik is one of his best songs IMO. Tears every verse to shreds.
