Obie Trice's second album SECOND ROUND'S ON ME barely made it into the top 10 . The album came in at #7 and sold 77,000 copies.

His first album was released in 2003, came in at #1, and sold 226,000 in its first week, selling 900,000 total in the U.S.

The current singles are "Cry Now" and "Jamaican Girl"

They dont count cds that people buy, they count the cds ordered and bought by music shops. If theres no hype the record stores dont order. Thats just kinda sad, wen u come to think about it.

i blame shady records the advertising/promoting for it was frankly shit....the album its self deserves No1 and platinum selling in the first week hopefully they will sort out the promoting for bottoms up

i was sooo pissed today......i went to target today cause the guy said they restock on tuesday and the album wasn't even on the shelf so i made my mom drive like an extra 3 miles to take me to best buys


i think target is only selling it for the first week and that's it cause the guy was like if it's not on the shelf then we most likely aren't selling it

i think i know why cheers sold better. it was because cheers sounded more like eminem style rapping. and all the fags out there that well bought it because 1) he rapped like em and 2) he had em on there.

oh yea i forgot to say that when i went to best buys to buy obie's album there were quite a few left so i doubt he's going to sell much....there were more obie albums than paris hilton albums

I believe the album didn't sell because of the singles.. Snitch, Cry Now, and Jamaican Girl are great songs, dont get me wrong, but i dont think they are very catchy singles.. Plus usually rapper's make singles that are club songs so they appeal to us more.. But Obie went with non club songs.. Well I guess Jamaicen girl is a club song.. but it's his third single.. He needed one of those songs like got some teeth, without me, or the real slim shady.. those get people hyped up for an album.. the leaked album thing may have affected sales, but the main reason it didnt sell a lot is because of the poor singles..
