Dr. Dre overated

Postby eminemcaparica » Aug 27th, '05, 02:40

Dr. Dre isprobably the best producer in hip hop but what about his lyrical ability. Not a lot of people know that some of his verses are ghost written. also on both of his classic albums had a gang load of guest apperances infact between the chronic and 2001 only one song dr. dre did by himself. So the question is do you think that dr. dre as a lyricist is overated

i like his lyrics, so i don't think his overrated. or maybe just a lil bit, but it doesn't change the fact, that he's one of the most recognizable and respectable person in hip-hop world..

This is a good topic and it is right to not consider DRE a great lyricist. He is however a great rapper, with one of the coolest voices ever, he just ain`t that much of an emcee.

DRE overated ? MUVAFACUZ degrade to the point of insanity right at the same time they pronounce this word *O-V-E-R-A-T-E-D*

Must we bring back the fact that DRE blessed us with not only the NWA albums ,
Eminem For God's Sake *The Top selling artist in the history of hip hop*, He gave live to G-funk with his expert beatmaking abilyties.

Yes he is an average RAPPER, but is it only the lyrics that matters in hip hop,

Take for example Common PPL say that he is one of the greatest of all time *blessing him for his lyrics*, I listened to "BE" waiting to hear a classic but the production on the album was horrible........

IF there was a list of the ten most honorable Hip-Hop artists Dre would be one of the top 5
