Jimmy James Johnson was sentenced on Sept. 14 to a year in jail after he pleaded guilty to punching superproducer/rapper Dr. Dre at the Vibe Awards last year. The judge also sentenced the 27-year-old man to three years probation and ordered him to stay away from Dre for three years.
The night of the incident, Young Buck allegedly stabbed Jimmy James Johnson. Superior Court Judge James Dabney found sufficient evidence to try Young Buck. Jimmy James Johnson had told Santa Monica, Calif., police that Suge Knight gave him $5,000 and agreed to forgive a brother's financial debt in exchange for the punch.
