You know what...I honestly think "Lose Yourself" and "Stan" could be up there, the latter for obvious reasons.
But "Lose Yourself" accomplished
so much, it's covered by so many artists, it's recognized worldwide as a masterpiece (I have no proof for this but I'm willing to bet tbh), a lot of its content is relative to anyone in the position of struggle and yearning for success.
I dunno...that song was such an accomplishment, I'd feel bad not putting it up there.
We already know from a technical standpoint, it's practically flawless. I think its overwhelming reception and decorated status really puts it above and beyond what a lot of other rappers have done.
Definitely agree about what "Lose Yourself" accomplished... but if I could only put one Em song on the list, it'd definitely be "Stan", it was just a cultural milestone, and a
huge accomplishment for Em, especially when he performed at the Grammy's.
valid point, tho while stan's a prime example of genius storytelling,LY'S appeal is more immedite and visceral.ive seen people who dont speak a word of english get pumped up listening to it;like someone earlier said, its genre defying.it isnt so much a song you listen to as it is a song you FEEL and get lifted by.excuse errors boys and girls im not capable of being very coherent right now.
