Me too
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

I remember listening to Crazy in Love and Spend some time back in '04 or '05 like crazy and i was thinking why doesn't he makes one of these singles instead of Just lose it?.So i guess Encore is the first Em album i ever listened to and that's probably why i like most of it.Chet is right tho,i don't think i heard Love you more back then,i would have remembered, its easily the best song on it.
Songs i never listen:Big Weenie&Just lose it.
Rare listens:Puke(i like it as a song,i hate those puke effects lol),My 1st single(goofy song but it can be quite entertaining at some point and those chorus are catchy as hell lol),Encore(could have been a club banger),Rainman,Ass like that(i love Nate on almost anything).
Songs i do like:Spend some time,Crazy in love,Like toy soldiers(tho it kind of lost it's replay value in time),Never enough,
Favorites:Evil deeds(yep it's a fav :tounge2: ),Mockingbird,One shot 2 shot(i like the energy on it),Mosh,Yellow Brick road.
So i guess i like around 70% of it.As someone said earlier,as an album is OK,as an Eminem Album is way more mehh then Relapse .

Not everyone got the bonus disc, so it doesn't count to the quantity of encore

I think that its because of two reasons:

1. They were the beginning of what would have been his next album, or so it has always seemed, and they were pretty dope tracks, so I kind of agree with adding them, but you're still correct because not only did not everyone get them, but they also weren't on the album.

2. Because the album had so many low points, to rate this brings it up, and as a stan I'd do the same thing ;)

But overall I bumped this album when it came out, thought it was great because it was eminem, and plus I was in nyc the day it dropped so there was a lot of hype up there with people running all over the streets posting encore signs and everything. But this album is forgettable, the songs themselves aren't terrible when you put them into the big spectrum of his work, but the bonus disc was the highlight of this album, and it did have some good tracks, but just because they were on such a shitty album I don't ever listen to them. I'm sure one day I will again, obviously, but it even showed in his sales. How it sold so well and then completely halted at 5 million in the US :coffee:

Awful songs:

Ass Like That
Just Lose It
Big Weenie
My 1st Single
Puke

Bad songs:

One Shot 2 Shot
Rain Man

Okay songs:

Evil Deeds
Mockingbird
Crazy In Love
Encore
Never Enough

Good songs:

Yellow Brick Road
Spend Some Time
Like Toy Soldiers
Mosh

Great songs:

None

It really does deserve its bad reputation. Getting nominated for a Grammy was a complete joke.

Guess its coz the singles "Just Lose it" and "Ass like that" got so overplayed yet there are some of the worst tracks on the album. IMO contains good tracks but awful album.

Yellow brick road is also a pretty good song although it seems a little ambitious to tell your "whole" lifestory in 3-4 minutes. Mosh is a respectable effort, while Like Toy Soldiers is up there with some of his better tracks.
Yeah, Mosh is a respectable "effort" but just feel the final product could have been better.

The problem with you Stans is that you're too stuck on the same topic from an artist who's modern music you're trying to desperately love instead of just moving ON TO THE NEXT ONE and find an artist with good music that maybe you LIKE and you could grow to like him/her and who knows maybe he or she will grow to be your new Eminem (A.K.A your lord & savior.)

If you TRULY AND GENUINELY have a liking for his newer music, fine I have no problem with you.
But if you're desperately trying to force yourself to like it then I feel sorry for you.

You Stans have such an unhealthy worship for another man that he can do absolutely no wrong in your eyes.

I'm just trynna keep it completely 100 wit yall,
have a wonderful day.

It has a bad reputation because it's a bad album. He went from dominant cultural figure to laughingstock with it. He's been repairing his reputation in the last two years, but will probably never get it to the level of 2000-2002 mainly because of the "music" he released in his drug-hazed years.

The only songs I listen to off Encore are Mockingbird, Like Toy, and Crazy In Love. Not an amazing album tbh.

About half the songs were decent and half were horrible....... But I still put Toy Soldiers as one of his best

The only bad song I would say is My 1st Single. IMO Big Weenie, Rain Man, and Ass Like That don't get enough love. The lyrics aren't great but take them for what they're worth. They're basically humorous songs with great beats. :y:

If they hadn't leaked they would have made it onto the album.
