This song grew on me and I like the lyrics...I just dislike the chorus. I think Elton John would have been amazing on that hook myself. The hook itself is good I just don't like the way it's delivered. I think Elton would have made a lot of sense as well because of the reference on Untitled. People would have made a connection and say "haha, he was just on that Space Bound track"

The lyrics do hit home though...they are simple rhyme-wise but the lyrics themselves are great and he still manages to rhyme well during a few parts. This is something every person can relate to pretty much.

I think I said the last part of your post in an earlier post, but I overall I think the rhymes were pretty damn good considering the subject and content of the song. And yeah the lyrics are something everything can relate to.

Actually, a girl I worked with loved this song, and her brother (who also worked with before what I'm about to say) went to jail for 18 months and she said the third verse always hit her cause when he says "a year and six months"
