Before he edited the post, he had it second bottom, just above Encore. But said it was a pile of shit.

The topic as it is now, is, I assume, being ironic, cus everyone was criticising his opinion. So I guess he changed it to take the piss. The last paragraph seems to suggest so.

Now post away, but I'm betting almost everyone who posts under me will be an illiterate who didn't read my post at all and criticizes me and claims that I said the album is awful even after I said nothing but positive things about it.

Amadeo wrote:I admit I was put off by the singing and the modern production. But then I started listening to the lyrics more carefully.

The singing and similar delivery are still the major turns off for me, but I can look past it. I'm appreciating it more with every listen.

I don't know why he chose easily the worst track as the single. Then, the second or third worst song was leaked by, I assume, someone in Em's camp to create buzz.

Yeah, I just edited it as a joke...and because I was tired of seeing it bumped to the top.

At the moment it seems like an inferior version of The Eminem Show. Still really like it, though.

The truth is the album has grown on me by leaps and bounds over the past few days. When I listened to it the first two times, I was disheartened by his ReUp-ish voice and the frequent splitting of lines between bars. Once I accepted that he wasn't going to live up to my over-expectations and started just listening to the songs for their own merit, I found that it was actually a very entertaining listen.

It also helped me to change my mindset for some of the songs. For example, when I first heard "You're Never Over," my initial response was, "WTF is this? Terrible singing, terrible beat...THIS is his tribute track for Proof?" Upon further listens, I realized that had he done a dark, sad tribute, it would have been incredibly cliche'. I now think he did the track this way because he knew Proof would find it amusing. I can safely say I've never heard a tribute song anything like this.

Also, with "Love the Way You Lie," I initially was unimpressed with what I thought to be "another Kim song." Upon further listens, I started to see it as not even necessarily about Kim, but about abusive relationships in general, with Eminem just using his own personal experience to narrate it from the abusive male's perspective. Throw in Rihanna's obviously key presence (I can't stand her, but at least she did an OK job with the chorus on this with none of her other vocal BS) and it's no longer just a Love You More rehash.

Still, this album is not on the same level as his first 3. The lyricism simply isn't of the same quality. I do think it's better overall than Relapse, even though it doesn't have the one perfect standout track (Deja Vu). It's certainly not boring, at least.

^HAHAHA stop it, I don't even need to argue, you're disproving you're own point as you go along. Class

Anyway,

Point 1: He's trolling? Really?

EminemInsider wrote:Yeah, I just edited it as a joke...and because I was tired of seeing it bumped to the top.

Ther's that argument gone.

Point 2: Whether he's trolling or not (which he isn't) it doesn't matter, you were still criticising his opinion!

Anyway, this'll be my last post in this little debate, I don't need to post as your posts disporve your own argument on their own. It's been fun!
