Rock Bottom

Postby Innovation » Nov 8th, '10, 13:21

One of my favourite Eminem songs ever.

It's one of the most lyrical tracks he's ever made. First verse is up there with his best verses ever.

Rock Bottom is emotional, lyrical and his delivery is fantastic. The multis are so effortless and it has an awesome flow.

Best song on SSLP.

Thoughts?

Best rap song EVER made. No rapper has/ever will touch what he did on that first verse.

I can't see any way this song could be made any better. Its simply a classic second only to Lose Yourself and Sing For The Moment for the best Em songs.

This.

His life made him hungry of fame and fortune. His only way was to be better and better at his profession. How he is now is so pitiful. And loss of hunger is a factor of his fall.

On topic: Timeless classic. A song I will never get tired. Ranks at #4 of my all time Eminem best songs list. The fact that it is beautiful in every aspect attracts me.

Em was gonna quit and Rock Bottom would have been his last song if things didn't work out around that time.

He tried to kill himself around the time he wrote it.

From what I remember him saying in an interview, it wasn't an actual suicide attempt...he just got depressed and something inside told him to keep popping more pills. It was like 04-07 crammed into a day, lol.
