Indeed it does. I can't blame Brother Ali to be honest, Macklemore evidently has been heavily influenced by a few of the Rhymesayers' collective. Watered down, commercially appealing Slug.

Yeah he's definitely inspired by rhymesayers, he shouts out aesop rock in white privilege too. I've never listened to his 2000 album but I think it'd be interesting to see how he changed between that and language of my world (assuming he discovered rhymesayers inbetween then)
