What songs would you consider highs/lows off CC?
I'd just first like to say that I don't think the 'lows' are bad songs, it's just that I feel they were victims of the album's own success.
Highs: Strong as an Oak, Moral of the Story, Cardboard Castles, Send in the Sun
Lows: Ugly Faces, Sloppy Seconds (sorry man), Dedicated to Christina Li, The Legend of Hardhead Ned
Like I said I don't think they're bad songs, but I felt like they hindered the general flow of the album when playing it through from start to end. Now that I think about it, it probably isn't a matter of Cardboard Castles having a few better tracks here and there, it's just that I'm more familiar with them.
Let's Get High and Watch Planet Earth was the only track I wasn't really feeling on All You Can Do. Some of the hooks weren't exactly my cup of tea either, but the great verses and instrumentation offered by the tracks don't make them the focal point, so it doesn't really matter.
A much better start to finish album than Cardboard Castles. Everything was there for a reason; it fitted together almost perfectly. You said it:Eedee wrote: I felt as if it was cohesive as fuck.
“OMFG, this is the greatest album of all time. An auditory treat that will delight music lovers of all stripes. Plus this shit bangs, son” -Mozart

That's why I said sorry because I know it's been one of the most well received songs he's ever put out and Eedee loves it
Some of the bars in the song are superb, but I just can't warm to the hook. I usually like Watsky's hooks/choruses that he personally performs too.
