Why start with Life After Death instead of Ready to Die? It's his first album and widely considered one of the greatest of all time.

Biggie is one of the best lyricists of all time, you could tell he lived everything he said. The ideas and flows in his raps where ahead of his time. A masterful storyteller.

He's a man who put out two 8/10 albums in a row but just had the cultural impact and image that caught on.

He's also fucking dead, that's why people think he's so good.

But given the standard that NO RAP ARTIST HAS EVER PUT OUT A LOT OF GOOD PROJECTS IN THEIR LIFETIME IT FEELS LIKE yeah, sure, you could consider Big a legend.
