I don't know man.... I just don't see it, I get that it's something new and different, but it just sounds like Transformers having lazy sex imo.

TMR is great though and I'm not mad at it's place on the list AT ALL, such an underrated effort.

Because most "mixtapes" now days are really albums tbh.

All the songs are original production and there is a coherent theme and vibe to it. It's just a free album if you ask me.

but it's not an album .. simple as that

But Yela labeled it as a mixtape lol ..

I love TMR and I don't really have a problem with it being on the list since it's a dope as fuck project, but it's a mixtape

doesn't matter though .. good list .. better than that piece of shit that was made last year .. then again, who voted for Raw lol

You so whiny lmao no one gives a shit if you care so much re-do this on your own

I know that nobody cares .. neither do I care of what people think about the shit I write .. it's my decision if I wanna write something or not

GRODT was one of the first albums I've ever listened to back in the day so it's kinda special to me .. I understand why people don't consider it a top album though

the beats though >>>

Grodt deserves the top 15 imo, it arguarbly has some of the best bangers of all time

I'd have put mbdtf a lil bit higher :flutter:

As for GKMC, very few people had the album in their top 5 but it was on almost every single list so I'm not surprised by its ranking.

Well this list is MUCH better than the last one that's for sure but it's still not perfect and there's some rather egregious choices there. Add to the fact that the sample is size is probably a bit lower(even if it is for the best), wouldn't have minded some lists from Solace or Eazy-E tbh tho, lol.

-Well the top 10 is pretty much what I expected I mean other than Eminem's top 3 being subverted and ofc having illmatic & GKMC there. It also has some pretty generic choices and almost token choices given the forum that we're on (i.e. Nas=illmatic, Kdot-GKMC, Kanye-MBDTF, Jay z-TBA). Not that those albums don't deserve the top 10 as they're all great, but GKMC is definitely way too high imo. I'm not gonna bitch though because it's almost expected at this point and having it be any other way would almost be going against the status quo.

-GRODT is waaaay too fucking high, not that it isn't a great album but among albums like Lemons, Madvillainy, both Outkast albums, College Dropout, GAME THEORY, Liquid Swords, RD, BTT, etc etc. it's heavily fucking outclassed. The only one I'd put it above in the second tier classics is God's Son(which also doesn't belong there), and Oh God wtf is yelawolf doing there.

-Other favorites section is just a complete mess; you got some really fucking great albums there (no not just the ones that were on my list), some pretty good albums (but probably shouldn't be there) and some serious :confusion:. Obviously Raw should be kicked the fucked out, nothing else needs to be said. What the hell is this board's obssession with Linkink Park & Fort Minor jfc.

-If I knew mixtapes were allowed I'd have shoved in either Da Drought 3 or Dedication 2 both of which might actually be better than Elmatic. It's a great mixtape don't get me wrong, and I even prefer Detroit State of Mind to NY state of Mind and love Memory Lane just as much as the original, but after that song it takes a dive in a quality and isn't on that "other" level anymore. Definitely think Carta II is better, as for who's a better mc still probably wayne.

-Speaking of which Carta II should kick God's Son out of this list, Stillmatic, 808s & Graduation, Raw (lol), Elmatic, & that fort minor album outta here. (Yes I'm a bully)

Enough with the bitching though

-Glad to see this list have a serious roots presence, with no less than 5 albums making this list. Rising Down should have replaced the Undun (definitely), How I got over (maybe), and probably Phrenlogy though.

-While I'm glad GT made the list and pretty highly might I add. Still, seeing GRODT over it really irks me and yeah I know it's over other great albums (like BTT, Liquid Swords, RD, etc.) Shouldn't bother me but it still does.

-Pretty surprised Donuts made the list even if I was probably (the only one?) main reason it got on. I wonder if I switched it with GT, if the latter would have made the first column of Second tier classics, hm.

-& yes The Money Store does deserve to be on there even if it is a bit high.

Also I never enjoyed Enter the Wu like most people have. It's very enjoyable and has some great beats and perfect atmosphere, and really pulled off the whole posse album rly well. But I pretty much prefer most first wave Wu Solos over it (Iron Man, OB4CL, Liquid Swords) and even Wu Tang Forever over it.

Feel the same way about R2D as well tbh.
